This census is inside the Catalan Common Birds Monitoring that ICO (Institut Catal\u00e0 d&#8217;Ornitologia) is coordinating for several years in the whole country. Catalan Common Birds is based in two census during winter and two spring census, following always the same itinerary in order to get information about the commoner bird species.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve seen several changes between this census and 2010 records. First of all there have been few riverside breeding birds records in comparision with 2010 census:<\/p>\n<p><strong>COMMONER RIVERSIDE\u00a0 BREEDING BIRDS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cetti&#8217;s Warbler\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Zitting Cisticola\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Moorhen<\/p>\n<p>2010\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 30\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 23\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 20<\/p>\n<p>2011\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 19\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 11\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 10<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_54\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-54\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/elpolitcantaire.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/07\/img_3534.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-54\" title=\"IMG_3534\" src=\"http:\/\/elpolitcantaire.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/07\/img_3534.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-54\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cetti&#039;s Warbler is a common bird in riversides and reedbeds of Llobregat Delta (Photo: Carles Oliver)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>There have been no migrant passerines recorded this year while 8 species were detected in 2010 (Redstart &#8211;<em>Phoenicurus phoenicurus<\/em>, Whitethroat &#8211;<em>Sylvia communis<\/em>, Subalpine Warbler &#8211;<em>Sylvia cantillans<\/em>, Grassopper Warbler &#8211;<em>Locustella naevia<\/em>, Bonelli&#8217;s Warbler &#8211;<em>Phylloscopus bonelli<\/em> and Woodchat &#8211;<em>Lanius senator <\/em>as more noticeable).<\/p>\n<p>Different date in every census is not enough explanation for such a different records. 2010 census was performed on 7th May and 2011&#8217;s on 13th May.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This spring I&#8217;ve done just one spring census in Llobregat Delta.
