Steppe birds & more

Guided Birding in Barcelona. Explore some of the best steppe lands in Catalonia that host Little Bustard, Stone Curlew, Thekla Lark, Calandra Lark and Black Weathear as resident species (more). In spring and summer the song of larks & warblers (see below) becomes a commonplace sound and our day list would easily include  Montagu's Harrier, Great Spotted Cuckoo, European Roller, European Bee-eater, Greater Short-toed Lark, , Subalpine Warbler, Orphean Warbler, Rock Sparrow and Ortolan Bunting. Migratory birds include Red-footed Falcon and Dotterel.

We'll also visit  a restored wetland in the middle of the plains: White Stork, Purple Heron, Penduline Tit, Purple Swamphen or Black-winged Stilt are breeding or resident specialties. The migrant species may include passerines, waders and herons.
